A transparent lens on global rankings
The Global University Rankings Index (GURI) is an independent analytical platform that consolidates university ranking data from QS, Times Higher Education, Shanghai Ranking and U.S. News. Its core deliverable is a yearly composite ranking based on the average of QS, THE and Shanghai positions built to support fair, transparent comparison across institutions and countries.
The platform is designed for university leaders, ranking officers, ministries of higher education, researchers, students and parents, higher education consultants and policy makers. It is built with clear methodology, careful data flagging and a commitment to neutrality.
Founder
The Global University Rankings Index (GURI) was established as a natural extension of my long-standing work in higher education, university rankings, quality assurance, and international academic cooperation. Through years of engagement with universities, governments, and ranking organizations worldwide, I recognized the growing need for a transparent and independent platform that brings together the world's leading university rankings into a single, accessible framework. GURI was therefore created to help universities, policymakers, students, and stakeholders gain a clearer understanding of institutional performance by providing comparative insights across multiple ranking systems, while promoting a deeper appreciation of the methodologies, strengths, and limitations that underpin global university rankings.
